Reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen and Perennial MVP candidate Joe Burrow took the field today in snowy Orchard Park, New York setting fire to the frozen field in possibly one of the best games this Sundays NFL slate had to offer.
Burrow threw for four touchdowns, but a pair of late interceptions, including a pick-six from Buffalo Bills Christian Benford to give the Bills their first lead of the day, ultimately winning the game for the Bills.
With the Bengals up 21-11 at halftime things were starting to look like the Bills were going to drop a MUST-WIN game at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The defense looked as if they couldn’t stop a nosebleed.
Cincinnati staged a late scoring drive where Burrow found Tee Higgins for his second touchdown of the day drawing closer to the Bills now just within a score. It just wasnt enough as the Bills were able to seal the victory 39-34.
The Bengals extended the lead to 10 with a 12- yard touchdown pass to Mike Gesicki with just under 9 minutes to go.
Cincinnati converted nine of its first eleven third downs, two of which Burrow converted on that drive. In just his second game back from his toe injury, he was 25 of 36 with 284 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions, good enough to post a 106.7 passer rating.
Allen matched Burrows efforts by going 22 for 28 with 251 yards and 3 touchdowns, also rushing for 78 yards which was supplemented by a 40-yard touchdown sprint halfway through the fourth, breaking his record of 36 for the longest rush by a Bills quarterback.
Buffalo’s defense turned the game upside down with BACK-TO-BACK interceptions from Cornerback Christian Benford and Defensive End AJ Epenesa. Those turnovers turned into three Buffalo Bills touchdowns in a matter of 4:20 in the fourth. Benford’s interception was aided by a tipped ball by Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips. Allen would later find Tight End Jackson Hawes for a touchdown.
The Bills (9-4) have now won two straight games for the first time in a month, keeping pace in the AFC.
The Bengals (4-9) on the other hand, already dim playoff chances start to dwindle further into impossibility. The only real chance they had entering this weekend at winning the division, but they now find themselves three games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Bills next four opponents:
12/14 @ New England
12/21 @ Cleveland
12/28 vs Philadelphia
TBD- Flex Game vs NYJ

Nice work!
Thank you!
